Social Enterprise and Business Forum

Using trade and the marketplace, business and government can play the lead role in generating positive social impact and environmental change in local communities.

In the last 20 years social enterprise has emerged as a viable business model that uses the market to deliver social and environmental change. In the Hunter Valley there are hundreds of social enterprises that are currently changing the lives of thousands of people and benefitting the environment through the sale of goods and services.

Through the leadership and support of local business and government, social enterprise can help break the cycle of disadvantage and strengthen the social and environmental resilience of your community.

This forum is designed to:

  • Build understanding of social enterprise and the potential benefits of working with them
  • Assist local businesses and government to purchase from and partner with social enterprise
  • Consolidate the social enterprise network in the Hunter and Central Coast
